Hawaiian Moonlight.  George Kahumuku Jr. and friends volunteer their talent, and organize stage performances of Hawaiian music as their way of “giving back” to the Bailey House Museum. Bring your blanket or a low back beach chair and enjoy the evening listening to music under the moon and stars. Ku Mai Ka Hula, 8th Annual International Hula Competition

Saturday, September 14: 
Ku Mai Ka Hula, 8th Annual International Hula Competition.  This international hula competition features halau winners from Japan’s competition and halau from Hawai`i in adult solo and group performances. The dancers compete in kahiko (traditional hula) and auana (modern-day hula stylings) in both male and female categories. Helping Paws Visitor Volunteer Program

Every Wednesday and Thursday: 
Helping Paws Visitor Volunteer Program.  Do you miss your pet when traveling? Visitors can offer a “helping paw” to homeless animals at the Maui Humane Society shelter 1 to 4 p.m. doing such activities as walking dogs, bathing puppies, brushing cats, or playing with puppies and kittens.  Arrive by 1 p.m. and wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
