Hula O Na Keiki.  Maui’s only children’s solo hula competition. Children ages 5 to 17 compete in kahiko (traditional) and `auana (modern) style hula, as well as oli (chant) and costume. The competition encourages its young participants to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art of hula and its roots in Hawaiian culture. The weekend event includes workshops, demonstrations, local Maui arts and crafts, and live Hawaiian entertainment for all to enjoy.
