Hatsumode 2015. For the Japanese, shogatsu or New Year’s remains the country’s most important seasonal celebration when millions of people visit a Shinto shrine during the first three days of the New Year. The purpose of the Hatsumode ritual is to enhance the New Year with health, joy, abundance and positive energies which will uplift and empower lives. Featuring Tsutomu Nakai and Dragon Beat Wataiko’s performance of Japanese Taiko drums at 10 a.m. Complimentary bowls of Ozoni mochi soup served from Midnight – 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Omamori charms available.
